Abstract
We report fabrication of chalcogenide nanowires with tailored dispersion enabling low-threshold soliton fission leading to supercontinuum generation. Tapered sub-micron chalcogenide fiber exhibit record ultrahigh nonlinearity (γ~54.1/W/m), over 50,000 times standard silica fiber, and anomalous dispersion.
