PMD Mitigation Using Combination of Both PMD Compensator and a Novel Phase Regenerator in Optical DQPSK System

Abstract

We proposed a new scheme of combination of PMD compensator and a novel phase regenerator to mitigate the PMD penalty in 40-Gbit/s DQPSK System. The system performance is effectively improved after both compensation and regeneration.
