Ultra High-Speed, Multi-Wavelength Polarization Impairment Characterization Technique for Pol-Muxed Optical Links

Abstract

We introduce a technique to monitor the polarization dependent impairments in optical links at tens of MHz speeds. Experimentally, we capture up to 10ps PMD values for 5.8-nm optical bandwidth at 36MHz refresh rates.
