Abstract

The WDM based Passive Optical Network (WDM-PON) provides distinctive advantages over TDMA-PON in terms of protocol transparency, QoS, and security. This paper introduces various WDM-PON schemes and their applications for the cost-effective and future-proof access network solutions.
