RF Instantaneous Frequency Measurement System Using a Polarization-Based Interferometer

Abstract

A simple and cost-effective RF instantaneous frequency measurement system is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Measurements yield a peak-to-peak frequency error down to 50 MHz for an RF frequency range of 1 to 18 GHz.
