Signaling and Multi-layer Probe-based Schemes for guaranteeing QoT in GMPLS Transparent Networks

Abstract

Three probe-based schemes accounting for multi-layer performance information are proposed to evaluate and guarantee lightpath QoT in transparent optical networks. Low blocking and fast set up times are achieved for different service classes.
