Self-protected Scheme for Wavelength Reusable WDM Passive Optical Networks

Abstract

We propose a wavelength reusable WDM-PON scheme using protective interconnection fibers to achieve whole optical distribution network protection. 10Gb/s bidirectional transmission is experimentally demonstrated and protection performance is analyzed.
