Abstract

In this work, we demonstrate and experimentally characterize adiabatic microring modulators, the smallest (4-μm-diameter) microring modulators shown to date, yielding 6.92-THz uncorrupted free spectral ranges. We demonstrate and quantify operation up to 12.5-Gb/s data rates.
