Abstract

This paper reviews an emerging photonic network architecture based on the movable and deployable ICT resource unit(MDRU). The architecture enables us to instantly deploy an ad-hoc network that can meet rapid changes in service demand. Development of prototype MDRU and the results of a proof-of-concept experiment are reported.
