BOTDA Location Accuracy In Depleted Pump Regime In The Presence of Brillouin Slow Light

Abstract

We obtained quasi-analytical solutions for the coupled amplitude equations that describe Brillouin interaction between pump and Stokes waves. We found that the maximum delay induced at resonance is only a fraction of BOTDA spatial resolution.
