Bragg Grating Temperature Sensor in Photosensitive Capillary Waveguide

Abstract

We present a thermal sensor consisting of a Bragg grating inscribed in photosensitive capillary with a temperature sensitive fluid core. We demonstrate temperature sensitivity of −150 pm/°C. Temperature and strain discrimination methods are proposed.
