MSFC research in lightweight x-ray mirrors for the Constellation-X mission

Abstract

NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center is developing enabling technologies for large, lightweight x-ray optics for the Constellation-X mission. We report on progress in replicating full- shell mirrors with an areal density of 1 kg m−2.
