Abstract

I propose a technique for flatness testing of transparent plates relies on wavelength- tuned interferometry and a phase shifting algorithm that filters unwanted modulations attributable to back-surface reflections. Analysis and experiment confirm a 2-nm accuracy without surface treatments.
