Abstract

A simple tuning-mechanism for an ytterbium-doped fibre laser is implemented. Based on the wavelength-dependence of the re-imaging distance that occurs in multimode-fibre, a fibre-gripper is fabricated to provide automatic-alignment of the multimode-fibre and a fibre-mirror.
