An Automated Metrology Workstation for the Measurement of Large Diameter Convex Surfaces

Abstract

We describe a prototype automated system for the measurement of larger diameter convex optical surfaces utilizing stitching interferometry and statistical absolute calibration techniques. We show example measurements from the prototype system which has applications for the measurement of telescope secondary mirrors.
