Abstract

Transmission spectra of fiber Fabry-Perot interferometers revealed periodic double peaks due to birefringence, whose temperature dependence, −34MHz/deg, was 3 orders of magnitude larger than simple estimation. The temperature dependence was further increased in an asymmetrically deformed ferrule.
