Abstract
The LMJ light amplifier medium is protected by a 9 mm thick glass in case of flashlamps blast. To improve the visible range transmission of this shield and to minimize the heating IR radiation after flashlamp glow discharge, a glass coating has been studied made of an antireflective and an anticaloric layer. This work presents the materials chosen for deposition as well as the deposition process and the numerical calculations performed to design the stack, particularly the thickness of each layer. The optical performances are then discussed.
