Coloration Variety at Different Parts of Swinhoe’s Pheasant Feather

Abstract

Different color at different parts of a Swinhoe’s Pheasant feather is caused by the different angles between barbules and barbs. The band structure of barbules nanostructure indicated that larger incident angle induces purer blue reflection.
