Modification of Directional Emission from a Deformed Microsphere by Surrounding Medium

Abstract

Far field emission of a deformed glass microsphere is measured in two surrounding media. Dynamical eclipsing causes the emission pattern to exhibit qualitative differences when the spheroid is immersed in water rather than air.
