Abstract

Orientation of a series of glassy-nematic oligofluorenes was investigated on coumarin-containing photoalignment films. The UV-vis and FTIR spectroscopic analyses revealed no evidence of photodegradation. Crossover behavior in liquid crystal orientation was observed and interpreted with a kinetic model.
