Direct and Inverse Methods of Characterization of Solar Concentrators

Abstract

We discuss two classes of methods for characterizing solar concentrators (mainly nonimaging): “direct” and “inverse”, in relation to the way these are irradiated. We derive the optical collection efficiency under collimated and diffused light.
