A Review of Photovoltaic Cavity Converter (PVCC) Optics and its Impact on Multijunction and Multi-bandgap Systems

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

PVCC is a novel HCPV receiver that re-cycles reflected photons trapped within the cavity. Thus, cell series resistance can be lowered while effective shadowing-loss is minimized. The paper focuses on optical issues and achievable efficiencies.
