Abstract

The use of micron-sized particles suspended in a gas and also some porous ceramics with approximately the same size of pores and grains in solar thermo-chemical processing makes important an analysis of interaction of concentrated solar radiation both with single particles and dispersed materials in the so-called Mie region, when the radiation wavelength and the size of particles, pores or grains are comparable with the wavelength.
