Light Scattering from nonequilibrium fluctuations in liquids and polymer solutions

Abstract

Light scattering from fluids with an applied temperature gradient has allowed verification of the calculations from nonequilibrium statistical mechanics for pure fluids, mixtures and polymer solutions. Our technique and comparisons with predictions will be presented.
