Abstract

Green light induced pulsed interband photorefractive effects in Sn2P2S6 crystals are particularly interesting for high-speed optical processing applications. We demonstrate a high-frame rate joint Fourier transform correlator based on Sn2P2S6- The electronic input device bottleneck is avoided by using fast read-out from a prerecorded holographic memory delivering the image library templates at high speed. 10 kHz frame rate operation of the cascaded correlator is demonstrated using 10 template images.
