Abstract

Results of theoretical investigation of optical activity influence on incoherent interaction of soliton-like light beams in cubic photorefractive crystal are presented. Interaction of two one-dimensional Gaussian beams in BSO crystal is numerically simulated in cases of parallel and orthogonal input linear polarizations. It is shown that under influence of the optical activity the distance between the points of beam fusion increases and the first fusion point is shifted from input face of the crystal. The account of optical activity in case of interaction of coherent light beams leads to appearance of the breathing effect. When incoherent interaction of light beams takes place, the breathing effect is practically absent.
