Abstract

Laser ultrasound detector based on vectorial wave mixing in titanium doped CdTe photorefractive crystals under external alternating electric field is described. High sensitivity and fast response time is achieved using a low-power near infrared laser. Alloptical laser ultrasound system for detection of defects inside carbon-fiber composite samples is described.
