Plasmonic Solar Cells

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Thin-film amorphous Si:H solar cells with plasmonic backreflectors show efficient light trapping, enabling a strong reduction in semiconductor film thickness. Similarly, crystalline Si solar cells covered with metal nanoparticle surface coatings shows enhanced light coupling and trapping. Article not available.
