Generation of Vortices using Cracked Glass Plate

Abstract

Cracked glass plate is used to generate optical vortex beam. Fork fringes in the experimental results confirm the presence of vortices in the output beam. The phase map plot of fork fringes also confirms the presence of vortices exactly at the position of forks.
