Surface-plasmon-polariton dispersions from metallic columnar thin film deposited on 2D dielectric grating

Abstract

Measurements of angle-resolved optical transmission through anisotropic silver columnar thin films on square gratings were made at visible and near-IR wavelengths. The structural anisotropy due to the silver columns manifests in a gross asymmetry in the surface plasmon polariton dispersions.
