Numerical and Experimental Study of Whispering Gallery Mode Resonator based on a Silica Microsphere

Abstract

In this paper, we investigate theoretically and experimentally a silica microsphere resonator with the diameter of 225 μm. We undertake the detailed comparisons of the free spectral range (FSR) values obtained from both the experimental results and numerical simulations.
