Abstract

We review some of the recent work on nonlinear manipulation of coherent perfect absorption. We show existence of gap solitons with null scattering. Further, we discuss the recent advances on how the spectral singularity of PT-symmetric systems can be controlled by saturable nonlinearity and cavity parameters in a ring cavity configuration.
