Quantum degenerate Fermi and Bose gases

Abstract

We present our experiments performed in Paris on a quantum degenerate mixture of lithium 6 (fermion) and lithium 7 (boson) atoms. The perspective of reaching the BCS transition on the fermionic component using a Feshbach resonance is discussed.
