Abstract

We achieved single-mode condensate propagation along homogeneous segments of magnetic waveguides, while waveguide inhomogeneities were observed to fragment the condensate longitudinally. Effects of the nearby microfabricated surface were investigated for magnetically and optically confined condensates.
