Abstract
We demostrate a sub-picosecond 1-kHz femtosecond x-ray source (flux: 5×1010 photons/s) with a well accessible quasi-point size (10 µm diameter) providing Cu Kα emission in continuous operation (10 hours), which we use to characterize two different types of focusing optics.
