Two-Photon Absorption and the Dispersion of Nonlinear Refraction Using a White-Light Continuum Z-scan

Abstract

We use white-light continuum Z-scan to measure the degenerate two-photon absorption spectrum and associated dispersion of the nonlinear refraction, n2, of ZnSe. n2 changes sign at around 0.7 of the bandgap energy as predicted.
