Abstract

Nanoengineered fluorescence is reported in semiconductor CdSe/ZnS quantum dots in the surface plasmon field of silver nanoparticle arrays. Tuning the surface plasmon resonance to the quantum dot exciton emission band results in an ~50-fold enhancement
