Light depolarization by Mie scatterers

Abstract

Light depolarization by Mie scatterers of arbitrary size and refractive index is studied analytically. The isotropization length lp responsible for light linear depolarization is presented. Linear and circular depolarization by Mie scatterers is addressed quantitatively.
