High-Resolution Planar Dispersive Element Based on a Surface Polaritonic Crystal

Abstract

A new principle to achieve ultra-high spectral dispersion is reported using a surface plasmon polaritonic crystal. The approach is shown to increase the spectral dispersion by orders of magnitude compared to other integrated photonic devices.
