Chiral-Selective Excitation of Lattice Vibrations in Carbon Nanotubes using Femtosecond Pulse Shaping

Abstract

Multiple pulse trains produced by femtosecond pulse shaping were used for chiral-selective excitation of coherent radial breading modes (RBM) in carbon nanotubes. Detection scheme and chirality-dependent phonon lifetimes are discussed.
