Abstract

We report a high performance frequency standard based on Coherent Population Trapping, incited by a modulated VCSEL in the 87Rb-D2 line. Short-term stabilities of σy = 3×10−11/√τ and relative frequency deviations below 10−11/day were demonstrated.
