Experimental Measurement of the Dispersion Relations of Gold Nanoparticle Chains

Abstract

The dispersion relations of plasmon modes of gold nanoparticle chains are measured, and compared with quasistatic theory. In addition to one longitudinal and one transverse mode, the results reveal a third mode, not previously observed.
