Slow Light Total-Internal-Reflection Optical Switch with 90-degree Bend

Abstract

We propose a novel optical switch with slowing light in Bragg reflector waveguide. Slowing light gives us large equivalent refractive index change due to its waveguide dispersion, which permits 90-degree bend of crossbar optical switches.
