Electromagnetically Induced Transparency in Optical Metamaterials

Abstract

We demonstrate theoretically and experimentally electromagnetically induced transparency in asymmetric metamaterial molecules using magnetoinductive coupling. We increase the coupling strength by joining two split rings together, demonstrating the transition from EIT to Autler-Townes splitting.
