The Guided-Mode Phonon-Polariton in Suspended Waveguides

Abstract

Using Raman scattering measurements in suspended semiconductor waveguides coupled with finite-element analysis, we elucidate the properties of the guided-mode phonon-polariton, which plays a critical role in many current terahertz generation approaches.
