Modelling of supercontinuum generation in quadratic crystals

Abstract

We present a comprehensive framework to study the evolution of ultrabroadband optical pulses in quadratic media. We exploit this model to simulate recently observed phenomena such as broadband parametric downconversion and femtosecond supercontinuum generation.
