Super Resolution by Sub-wavelength Polarization Distribution Using Conical Diffraction

Abstract

We present a super resolution scheme that can be incorporated in standard fluorescence microscopes based on spatial modulation of the polarization inside the Airy disk of a focused illumination beam using conical diffraction.
