Fabrication of Optical Nanofiber Cavity Using Focused Ion Beam Milling

Abstract

We discuss the characteristics of optical nanofiber cavity fabricated using focused ion beam milling technique. Due to strong confinement of the field in such a nanofiber cavity, it can become a promising workbench for cavity-QED.
