Slow and Stationary Ultrashort Light Pulses in a Resonantly Absorbing Bragg Reflector

Abstract

Slow or stationary ultrashort light pulses are shown to be produced in a resonantly absorbing Bragg reflector, and the nonlinear optical conversion can be substantially enhanced in the composite photonic crystal structure.
