Low-Light-Level Optical Interactions with Rubidium Vapor in a Photonic Band-Gap Fiber

Abstract

We show that an appreciable density of Rubidium atoms can be produced in a hollow- core photonic band-gap fiber which can be used for nonlinear optical interactions at very low light levels.
